DIGI ALBUM INSTRUCTIONS

FREE SIGNUP / REGISTER
Sign up by entering a username, valid email address, password, and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
*Be sure to add admin@digialbums.com to your accepted email list to avoid any potential for spam filters blocking future correspondence.

ACTIVATE
Activate your Digi Albums account by clicking the activation link sent to the email address provided during the sign-up process. If the activation link is not hyperlinked, then just copy and paste it into your browser. If you do not receive the activation email within a few minutes, please contact us to request another activation email.

LOGIN
Return to the home page, and click the login button in the upper right hand corner of the page. Login to the Control Panel using your username and password created during the signup process. Click the “Control Panel” button to begin creating your Digi Album.

WELCOME
After you sign up for a FREE account and log in the Control Panel, you can immediately start test-driving your Digi Album by uploading 8 images, 1 audio file, and 1 video. Please keep in mind that you have limited usage in the FREE account and will be instructed to upgrade to a paid account once you exceed your usage. Please follow the instructions below. At any point you can upgrade to a paid account that best suits your needs and removes the usage restrictions.

If you're ready to release your Digi Album, you can select and purchase one of our complete Digi Album packages by clicking the “Upgrade Account” button in your control panel and selecting the package that best suits you.  All of our packages include 12-months of hosting and bandwidth as well as standard Digi Album features that allow you to promote and sell your music.

PREPARATION / OVERVIEW
The instructions below are for the Digi Album $99 package.  You can add additional media (Images, Audio, Video) with the Digi Album PRO package.

GATHER ASSETS - IMAGES / AUDIO / VIDEO / INFO (Bio, Lyrics, Album Credits, Links)
Organize your Images, Audio, Video and Info including Bio, Lyrics, Album Credits, Links, so that you have everything easily accessible on your local computer for uploading through your Control Panel.

You will need the following assets listed below to complete your Digi Album:
* Indicates an optional asset which is not necessary to complete your Digi Album.

FILE FORMATS - IMAGES / AUDIO / VIDEO / INFO / LINKS
8 Images in JPEG format to create the 8 pages of 3D page turning Artwork for your Digi Album
         - Images are automatically resized to be 375 Pixels Wide  by 345 Pixels High
Up to 10 Audio Tracks in .MP3 format to form your Tracklisting
          - Only 1 Audio Track is required.  128 Kbps bitrate is recommended for your MP3s
*Up to 1 Video in .FLV (Flash Video) file format or .MOV (Quicktime) file format (*Video is optional).          
         - Videos should be sized to 320 Pixels Wide x 240 Pixels High.
*Info: Biography, Album Credits, Lyrics for each song (*Text fields are optional)
*Hyperlinks: Links to any specific web pages that promote or sell your music (*Links are optional).
         - For example MySpace, Youtube, CDbaby, Amazon, iTunes, Facebook, Blogs, etc.
         - You will need to include the full URL extension including the http://

UPLOAD ASSETS
Browse and upload a minimum of 8 Images in .JPEG format.
Browse and upload up to 10 Audio Tracks in .MP3 format.
Browse and upload up to 1 Video in either .FLV (Flash Video) file format or .MOV (Quicktime) file format
Add Info for Bio, Band Credits, Lyrics
Add Links to drive traffic to other web sites that promote your music.

Regarding the IMAGES Format and Specifications:
Our platform is designed to automatically resize and crop Photos to fit within your Digi Album pages.  Resizing and cropping in an automated fashion does not always provide the best portion of your images. If you can resize and crop your own images, then you can upload images exactly as you would like them to appear within your Digi Album pages.  If resizing and cropping your own images, please create JPEGs sized to 375 Pixels wide by 345 pixels high.

Things to keep in mind for your Photo/Image Selection.
Standard Page Layout is as follows:
Page 1    Front Cover – Album Artwork/Photo

Please keep in mind that we will layer certain graphics over your Photos.  For example, keep an eye out for the Arrows in the corners of each page, the Audio Player on Page 2, the Tracklisitng on Page 3, the Viral Marketing Tabs on the bottom of Page 3 and Page 5, and our Powered By info at the bottom of the back page (Page 8).
Layered Components (*indicates optional features)
· Arrows in corners of each page
· Page 1 - Front Cover Plastic Border which will overlay the edges of your design
· Audio Player on Page 2
· Track Listing on Page 3 (this will remain in a fixed position to maintain the “Click-To-Play” functionality)
· Viral Marketing Tabs (Info, Share, Register, Embed) at the bottom of Page 3 and Page 5.
· *Tabs at the tops of Page 3, Page 5, Page 7 if you choose to include links to websites that promote your music.
· *Video Player on Page 7 – remember that the video player will appear on top of your image.
· Powered By info and Back Cover Plastic Borders on Page 8

Regarding AUDIO Format and Specifications:
Our platform uses .MP3 audio file format. We recommend 128 Kbps bitrate. You can choose to upload full length songs or only samples. If you upload a full song, our system allows you to choose anywhere between 10 – 90 seconds of the song as a preview if you want to only play a portion of the audio file.

You can also choose whether you want the audio file to be Downloadable or not. If you choose to make a song Downloadable it will enable an download arrow next to that particular song in the tracklisting.

Regarding VIDEO Format and Specifications:
Our platform can use either .FLV (Flash Video) file format or .MOV (Quicktime) file format.
Videos must be under 4 minutes in length.
Video size is standard 320 Pixels Wide by 240 Pixels High
We recommend using .FLV file format and keeping total file size between 5 megs – 10 megs in order to optimize load speeds.
If you upload a full video, our system allows you to choose anywhere between 10 – 90 percent of the video as a preview if you want to only play a portion of the video.

DIRECTIONS FOR IMAGES
In this section you will browse and upload 8 Images. You will need to repeat the process for each individual image. You can also click the Browse Images button or Delete Images button.

1. Click the IMAGES button at the top of the Control Panel.
2. Choose the Add Image option.
3. Type in a simple name for your image in the Image Title field (we recommend titling Images simply with P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7, P8). These Page numbers will correspond with each page of artwork in your Digi Album are easier to reference.
4. Browse your local files and select the JPEG image you will want to Upload.
5. At the bottom of the page click the Add Image Button to upload your image.
6. Click the OK button when you are prompted with the message “Are you ready to create/modify this entry?” – this simply indicates that you should “be patient” during the uploading process.
7. Once you see the SUCCESS! Message you can move on to the next step which will be to repeat this process 7 more times until you have uploaded all 8 Images.
8. *You can skip other fields and options in this section for the time being.
9. You will need to repeat this Title, Browse/Add Image process 8 times for each Image that forms the 8 pages of your Digi Album artwork.
10. When you click the IMAGES button at the top of the Control Panel after adding your first image, you will also have options to Browse and Arrange Images.
     a. Browse Images allows you to preview the images you uploaded and Delete images that you want to replace.
     b. Arrange Images allows you to rearrange the order in which images are displayed as the various pages of your Digi Album.

DIRECTIONS FOR AUDIO
In this section you will browse and upload up to 10 Audio Tracks and type in corresponding Lyrics for each audio file you upload. You will need to repeat the process for each individual audio track. You can also click the Modify Audio button or Delete Audio buttons.

1. Click the AUDIO button at the top of the Control Panel.
2. Choose the Create Audio option.
3. Type in the title of the audio file in the Audio File Name field. These Song Names will appear in your Digi Album tracklisting on P3.
4. Type in (or copy and paste) Song Lyrics into the Song Lyrics field.
5. Under the Upload HIFI Song File field, Browse your local files and select the .MP3 audio file you will want to Upload.
6. Under the HIFI Listener Access dropdown menu, choose whether you want the Audio to be Downloadable or not and whether you want to play the full song or simply a shorter preview sample.
7. At the bottom of the page click the Add New Audio Button to upload your file.
8. Click the OK button when you are prompted with the message “Are you ready to create/modify this entry?” – this simply indicates that you should “be patient” during the uploading process.
9. Once you see the SUCCESS! Message you can move on to the next step which will be to repeat this process for up to 10 audio tracks (depending on how many you have)
10. *You can skip the other fields and options in this section for the time being.
11. You will need to repeat this Audio Name, Browse/Add New Audio process for each file you want to upload to your Digi Album.
12. When you click the AUDIO button at the top of the Control Panel after adding your first song, you will also have options to Modify, Delete, and Arrange Audio.
     a. Modify Audio allows you to change songs, lyrics, or Download availability.
     b. Delete Audio allows you to remove any songs that no longer want to showcase.
     c. Arrange Audio allows you to rearrange the order in which Songs are in your tracklisting.

DIRECTIONS FOR VIDEO
In this section you can choose to browse and upload 1 Video. You can also click the MODIFY VIDEO button or DELETE VIDEOS button.
Video Image (Video Thumbnail Preview Image)
You can choose to add in a Video Image which will appear as a preview image in the video screen before your video begins playing.

1. Click the VIDEO button at the top of the Control Panel.
2. Choose the Create Video option.
3. Type in the title of the video in the Video Name field.
4. Under the Upload Video File field, Browse your local files and select the .MOV or .FLV video file you will want to Upload.
5. Under the Video Viewer Access dropdown menu, choose whether you want to play the full video or simply a shorter preview snippet.
6. Under the Upload Video Image field, Browse your local fiels and select the JPEG image you will want to upload (ideal Image size is 320 Pixels Wide by 240 Pixels High)
7. At the bottom of the page click the Create Video Button to upload your video.
8. Click the OK button when you are prompted with the message “Are you ready to create/modify this entry?” – this simply indicates that you should “be patient” during the uploading process.
9. Once you see the SUCCESS! Message you can move on to the next step which will be to click the INFO button at the top of the page.
10. *You can ignore the other fields and options in this section for the time being.
     a. When you click the VIDEO button at the top of the Control Panel after adding your first video, you will also have options to Modify or Delete, Video.
     b. Modify Video allows you to change your video and Video Image. Delete Video allows you to remove any videos that you no longer want to showcase.

DIRECTIONS FOR INFO (TEXT, BIO, CREDITS, LINKS)
In this section you can enter Text for your Biography, Album Credits,Tabs, and Links to other websites that promote your music. You can also browse and upload an Artist Image which is displayed in the Send-To-Friend Email that is generated when fans Share Digi Albums with friends (using the Share button). You will also be able to add in an email address where you would like to be copied on any Registrations from fans who signup for your email list. When fans signup you will be copied at the address which you provide in addition to your fans being added to the Fans section in your Control Panel. Additionally, you have the ability to fill in optional information which will help fans find your Digi Albums when searching, including: Band Members, Location, Artist Influences, and the musical Genre in which you would classify yourself.

1. Click the INFO button at the top of the Control Panel.
2. Choose the Digi Album Info option.
3. Type in or Copy/Paste text into the following fields:
     a. Biography:
     b. Album Credits:
     c. Band Registrations Email:
     d. Tab Names:
     e. Hyperlinks for Tabs:
     f. Links:
4. From the Dropdown menus select your:
     a. Location:
     b. Genre :
5. The following fields are optional but will help fans find your music online:
     a. *Members:
     b. *Website:
     c. *Artist Influences:
6. Under the Upload New Artist Image field, Browse your local files and select the JPEG image file you will want to Upload.
7. Upload the image by clicking the Modify Artist button at the bottom of the page.
8. Click the OK button if you are prompted with the message “Are you ready to create/modify this entry?” – this simply indicates that you should “be patient” during the uploading process.
9. Once you see the SUCCESS! message you can move on to the next step which will be to click the DIGI ALBUM button at the top of the page.
10. *You can ignore the other fields and options in this section for the time being.
     a. When you click the DIGI ALBUM button at the top of the Control Panel after successfully adding your info, you will also have the option to View Your Digi Album. This will allow you to preview your Digi Album.
11. You can View Your Digi Album and watch your music come alive! Remember to click the arrows in the corners of the artwork to turn pages in your Digi Album.
